Splits is a demo product: every account holds fake seeded data, demo accounts are purged daily, and bank linking runs on Plaid's sandbox only. It is not a commercial product.
What Splits is
Splits is a demo of an IOU ledger for tracking shared bills between friends. It does not hold funds, process payments, or move money — and as a demo, it should not be used to track real debts either. Bank linking uses Plaid's sandbox only; real bank credentials are not accepted.
Using the demo
- Don't use it for anything unlawful.
- Don't scrape, automate, or abuse the service.
- Don't put real financial information or sensitive personal data into it.
No guarantees
The service is provided as-is, with no SLAs, no uptime commitments, and no warranty of any kind. Accounts and their data may be reset or deleted at any time without notice. Demo accounts expire and are purged automatically.
